He was such a flashy centerfielder in his younger days and sometimes it got him into trouble. At times he would take unnecessary risks in fielding a ball to show off for the crowd. More than once it got him removed by Bobby Cox in the middle of an inning. But when he went for it he really went for it. His speed and willingness to give up his body to catch a ball is what won him 10 straight Gold Glove awards.
